Checkable, not claimed

Three numbers you can look up

Most contractors list badges. These are license numbers, they belong to a person rather than a logo, and the State of New Hampshire will confirm every one of them.

  • GF1910596

    NH Gas License

Licensed by the State of New Hampshire to work on natural gas and propane appliances, including boilers, furnaces and wall hung units. You can look the number up.

  • HT2300476

    NH Oil Heating Technician

Licensed for oil fired heating equipment, burners and oil tanks. Southern New Hampshire runs on both fuels, and plenty of contractors are licensed for only one.

  • Certified

    EPA Section 608

Federally certified to handle refrigerant, which is what every mini split, heat pump and central air system runs on. It is required by law, and it is worth checking.

Repair or replace

Sometimes the honest answer is that you do not need a new system.

If a unit is able to be repaired and if doing so is cost effective for the customer, then a repair will be our first recommendation.
Brian Chesney, owner

Homeowners around here compare three and four quotes on a boiler and pick the one that felt honest, not the one that came in cheapest. There is a reason for that. The stories that circulate in this area are about five figure replacement quotes written against systems with years of life left in them.

A twenty year old boiler is not automatically a boiler that needs replacing. A great many of those quotes are answered by a circulator, an aquastat, an ignition module or a good cleaning. When it genuinely is time, you will hear that too, with the reason and with the panel open so you can see the same thing.

Show the work

Drag the handle. That is the same coil.

Nobody in this county puts their work on their website. That is a strange thing about a trade judged entirely on craft, so it gets fixed here. Every pair on this site is a real job.

BeforeAfter

Same coil, same visit. A season of leaf litter, seed debris and road grit packs the fins solid, the system runs at high head pressure all summer to move the same heat, and the electric bill goes up every month while the compressor works harder than it was built to. This is what a yearly cleaning is actually for.

Where we work

Windham, and the six towns around it

Who shows up

Twenty four years in the trades, and the last eight of them in HVAC

Sixteen years welding, inspecting and engineering came first. That is where the standard comes from, because a weld either passes inspection or it does not. Six years co-owning an oil company came next, which is where the fuel side and the tanks were learned.

SNH HVAC Services exists so that the person who answers the phone is the person who walks into your basement. One phone number, one licensed technician, and one truck in the driveway every time.

The owner is the technician, and he will show you the work.

Reviews

Real reviews from real customers, posted as they come in

This is a young business run by a tradesman who is not. Reviews get posted on this site as customers leave them, with real names and real towns. Until then, the license numbers above are the proof, and every one of them is checkable.

Tell me what your system is doing.

Send the details and Brian reads them himself. Free estimates on installations and replacements, straight answers on repairs, and the same person on the phone as in your basement.
