Who this policy comes from

Southern New Hampshire HVAC Services LLC is a family owned heating and cooling contractor working out of Windham, New Hampshire. This policy covers snhhvacservices.com and the information you send through it.

What this site collects

There are exactly two places on this website where you can hand over information, and both of them are forms you choose to fill in.

• The contact form collects your name, phone number, email address, town, the service you need, how urgent it is, and whatever you write about what your system is doing. It also records your two separate text message choices.
• The review form collects the star rating you picked, your name, your town, the work that was done, your email address, and what you wrote. If you rated the job three stars or below, it collects a phone number instead of a town so there is somebody to call back.
• Like every website, the server records ordinary technical information as pages load: an IP address, a browser type, and which pages were viewed. Standard web analytics counts visits.

What this site does not collect

Payment happens in person or by invoice, never on this website. There is no account to create, no password to store, and no card details anywhere in this system.

Nothing you type into either form is stored in a database on this site. Both forms send an email and stop there.

Why we collect it

To answer you, to work out what your system needs, to give you a price, to schedule the visit, and to keep a record of the job so that a question about it a year later has an answer.

Your email address on a review is used for one thing only, which is getting in touch if there is a question about what you wrote. It is never published.

Text messages

The contact form carries two separate checkboxes and both of them start unchecked. The first covers texts about scheduling and service for the job you asked about. The second covers seasonal reminders, such as a note when it is time to book a cleaning before heating season. They are independent of each other and of anything else on the form.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase, and Southern New Hampshire HVAC Services LLC is the sender.

Both of your choices are recorded alongside your enquiry so there is a record of exactly what you agreed to and when.

Who else sees it

Two kinds of service provider make this site work: the company that hosts it, and the email delivery service that carries your message to Brian's inbox and the copy back to yours. Each of them handles only what it needs to do that job.

Your information is never sold, never rented, and never shared for advertising. Information is disclosed only where the law requires it, or where it is needed to protect somebody's safety.

How long it is kept

Enquiries and job records are kept while they are useful: long enough to do the work, to stand behind it, and to answer a question about that job later on. Records with no remaining reason to exist are deleted.

You can ask us to delete what we hold about you at any time. Unless something has to be kept for tax or legal reasons, it gets deleted and you get told when it is done.

Reviews and ratings

Star ratings collected on this site are never combined into an average, a badge, a score, or an automatic feed. There is no counter anywhere on this site fed by that form, and there never will be.

Brian reads every submission himself. A review reaches this site only if you submitted it through the public path, and it appears with your first name and your town, never your email address or your phone number.

Feedback at three stars or below goes to Brian and to nobody else. It is not published anywhere on this site, and it exists so a problem can get fixed rather than counted.

If you want a published review taken down, ask and it comes down.

Cookies and measurement

This site uses standard web analytics to count page visits and see which pages lead people to pick up the phone. That is used to make the site better at answering the questions homeowners actually arrive with.

It is not used to build an advertising profile of you. Your browser settings can block or clear cookies at any time, and every part of this site keeps working if you do.

Your choices

• Ask what information we hold about you, and get a straight answer.
• Ask for a correction if something is wrong.
• Ask for deletion, as described above.
• Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving them.
• Reply to any email from us and ask to stop receiving them.

Children

This site is meant for homeowners and is not directed at children under 13, and information is not knowingly collected from them. If you believe a child sent something through one of these forms, tell us and it will be deleted.

Links to other websites

There are links here to places like the New Hampshire license register, the NHSaves rebate program, Google and Facebook. Once you follow one of them, that site's own privacy policy governs what happens next.

Security

Form submissions travel over an encrypted connection, get checked for automated abuse, and land in a small number of mailboxes. No system on the internet is perfect, so anything genuinely sensitive is better said on the phone.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. A change that affects how your information is handled will be called out on this page rather than slipped in quietly.
